Construction Plans Notes: Here will be plans on how to build your own NESp, broken down by chapters, right now all I have are the subjects. So far Chapter I is finished.
You can also refer to these pages for important information: Soldering/Desoldering I will not cover how to solder/desolder, but you will need to know how to in order to make a NESp. Fortunately there are some great guides already out there on the web. Please go to the Soldering/Desoldering Page for links to these sites.
NESp Construction Guide Chapter I: Removing the NES circuit board This chapter will show you how to remove the circuit board from an original front loading NES.
This chapter will show you how to desolder the PCB edge connector from a Game Genie and solder it on to the NES board, replacing the original NES PCB edge connector.
Chapter III: Desoldering and removing the RF modulator from the NES board This chapter will show you how to desolder the RF modulator from the NES circuit board.
This chapter will show you how to build the replacement for the RF modulator, which contains a video signal amplifier, volume control, AV in/out port, and DC convertor circuit that it drop the 12v from the battery down to 5v that the NES circuit board uses.
Chapter V: Building the NESp controller. This chapter will show you how to build a custom controller for the NESp using 2 original NES controllers.
Chapter VI: Cutting the NESp casing This chapter will provide you with templates you can print on your computer, that will guide you in cutting and drilling the NESp casing and LuciteŽ screen protector.
Chapter VII: Fitting the Video Display, Controller, and NES circuit board into the NESp casing This chapter will show you how to install all of the componets into the NESp casing.
Chapter VIII: Making the final connections and other miscellaneous things. This chapter will cover all final things you need to do that was not covered in the previous chapters.
